Ositadimma "Osi" Umenyiora (born November 16, 1981) is an English-American former defensive end who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Troy University and was drafted by the New York Giants in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft. Umenyiora was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and holds the Giants franchise record for most sacks in one game. He is one of three British-born players to have won a Super Bowl, joining Scott McCready and former Giants teammate Lawrence Tynes. ==Early years== Umenyiora was born in Golders Green, London to Nigerian parents.〔(Osi Umneyiora speakers bureau biography )〕 His family moved back to Nigeria and later to Auburn, Alabama, where he started playing football in high school. He is of Igbo descent. His full first name means in Igbo "from today on things will be good".
